Note the temporary clamp setup to sustain the king post joint and the rope holding the posts square. This type of simple setup makes it possible for a single person to raise a small timber frame entirely alone – with no help nor machinery. This picture was taken during the raising of the frame for the dry composting toilet and adjacent shower next to The Nest (interns house).
